Parotis athysanota is een vlinder uit de familie van de grasmotten (Crambidae), uit de onderfamilie van de Spilomelinae. Deze soort is voor het eerst wetenschappelijk beschreven als Glyphodes athysanota door George Francis Hampson in een publicatie uit 1912.
