Reelin = Reeline bewerken

Dear CopperKettle, I've changed the title of the article requested by you into Reeline as this is more common Dutch. The artcikle itself is stil under construction. Greets, Solejheyen 12 okt 2009 18:30 (CEST)Reageren

Thank you, Solejheyen, for an outstanding work! With a virtual handshake, yours truly, --CopperKettle 12 okt 2009 20:49 (CEST)Reageren
Hi CopperKettle, about the Reeline article again: I have problems with some other Wikipedians here because of the footnotes. They claim I should not have used those notes in the Dutch article because of copyright, look here: [1]. I think it is mainly you who incorporated those footnotes in the original English text, so could you look at the Dutch text and tell if I had or not the right to copy them or not? Please let the others know as well, on the discussion page of the Dutch article. Thanks. Greets, Solejheyen 6 nov 2009 22:09 (CET)Reageren
I'm not sure how the references affect the copyright. O_o. I've notified the folks at EnWiki's project MolBiology. Maybe I'll notify some primary figures engaged in writing molecular articles at EnWiki if there's no reply there. You did a great job at translating! Best regards! --CopperKettle 7 nov 2009 10:12 (CET)Reageren

Hello CopperkKettle (they have blocked my account but I'm Solejheyen), how do you do? I am very sorry to say that the Reeline article has been nominated for deletion, see here. It is mainly because of some small translation errors and because they think I have used improper sources (though they are more or less the same as in the English article). Having worked on it for months, I would really regret if the article would be removed. It is mainly you who wanted this article, so do you think can you give your own opinion about it in the discussion? Thanks in advance. Greets, 193.141.132.155 6 jan 2010 15:12 (CET)Reageren

  • Hi! I'm sorry to hear that! I've saved the translation to a temporary folder at my userpage. I've already asked the nominator to list the problems he sees with the article. I am very grateful for your work... --CopperKettle 6 jan 2010 16:06 (CET)Reageren
(I was formerly Solejheyen but have changed my account name) Hi CopperKettle! I think you can throw away this, for a newer version of the article is still there. I made some additions to it on the basis of what you added for example here on the English wiki, yet the former nominator (brimz) keeps on nagging on the discussion page of reeline even about this and I feel like I can no longer talk with him, for he always wants things his own way, for example here. Maybe you could still add something to that discussion? I will be off in the week to come, so I can't. With best wishes, De Wikischim 11 feb 2010 23:31 (CET)Reageren
  • I feel not very good now, will try to look; Google Translate helps, but I will need to re-read a bit, and reading makes me dizzy now, so sorry if that will take some time. --CopperKettle 12 feb 2010 05:56 (CET)Reageren

Nomination (2) bewerken

Dear CopperKettle, please look here. I am very sorry to say it but in fact I regret having granted your translation request, because now they not only claim that the article is altogether wrong (which is absolutely untrue even if it has some small errors) but also that it does not have the proper form for a Wikipedia article, because it is a review of some scientific research. The same thing then also applies to your English article of course.

I think you should read the Reeline article as well, and if you see any errors please tell on the discussion page. I am tired of all this. I have worked on this article for months to translate and improve it, with this result.

P.S. I think I will leave the Dutch Wikipedia if they delete the article. It is absolutely unfair what they are doing.

De Wikischim 6 mrt 2010 10:08 (CET)Reageren

I am terribly, terribly sorry, Wikischim! I'm barely able to read now, have attacks of nausea and dizziness when I read or type. There's a formation in a cavernous sinus of my brain that looks like meningioma but does not explain the attacks. Don't know when and if I'll be fit for any work on the computer. I hope they will not delete the article. If they demand that every article be written by an expert, they should leave Wikipedia and head for Scholarpedia, not you. Sincere regards, --CopperKettle 6 mrt 2010 17:31 (CET)Reageren
OK, thanks. I also sincerely hope you will be better soon and do not have a serious infection. Best regards, De Wikischim 6 mrt 2010 17:36 (CET)Reageren

Reeline bewerken

Hello CopperKettle. Thanx for the offer to solve the problems on the reelin article. The problem is that there so much translation and interpretation errors that it is very hard for a non-native speaker of the Dutch language to help solving these problems. I appreciate your help, but I think it should be best to start from scratch with this article and avoid as much as possible to litteraly translate the article from en:. Als we should avoid too much incrowd words to keep the article accessible to a broad public and not only to specialists. Specialists usually have access to common information as scientific publications about the topic, while the broad public don't. Best regards, brimz 10 jan 2010 13:16 (CET) Thank you for your view, Brimz! --CopperKettle 9 apr 2010 03:52 (CEST)Reageren
