Strix
geslacht uit de familie uilen
Strix is een geslacht van vogels uit de familie van de uilen (Strigidae).[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van het geslacht werd in 1758 gepubliceerd door Carl Linnaeus.[2] Door sommige auteurs worden alle soorten uit de Nieuwe Wereld in het aparte geslacht Ciccaba geplaatst.[3]
