I am a retired European Union official and the editor of 'http://www.europedia.moussis.eu/ ', a free, non-advertised based website that endeavours to explain the policies of the European Union institutions from a purely technical and legal point of view. Although Europedia is originally based on a book that is widely considered as a scholarly (encyclopaedic) reference on European Union policies, the website is considerably more up to date and is free to access by anyone. It permits direct links to the European legislation EUR-lex site and to hundreds of other sites of European and international institutions and organisations. As a specialist site on the European Union it can be of much use to Wikipedia readers, who want to learn more on subjects of their interest. Europedia links to many Wikipedia articles, which I consider worthwhile and I intend to place the Wikipedia url in the links of my homepage. Is dit correct?

'De Europese Gemeenschap is de belangrijkste van de twee Europese Gemeenschappen; de andere is de Euratom. Beide gemeenschappen samen vormen de eerste pijler van de Europese Unie.' Ik dacht dat EURATOM buiten de peilers stond. Het is een aparte organisatie waarvan iedere staat die lid wordt van de Europese Unie ook automatisch lid wordt van Euratom. Daarnaast bestond vroeger de Europese Gemeenschappen niet alleen uit de EEG en Euratom, maar ook uit de EGKS. Bron: het wikipedia artikel van EURATOM.

Dit is inderdaad niet correct, de Europese Gemeenschap is gewoon de eerste pijler. Op het sjabloon onderaan staat het zoals het moet zijn. --PJ Geest 31 jan 2010 16:16 (CET)

Ik vergiste mij. Volgens http://europa.eu/legislation_summaries/economic_and_monetary_affairs/institutional_and_economic_framework/treaties_maastricht_nl.htm was de Europese Gemeenschap samen met de EGKS en Euratom de eerste pijler. Tamelijk onbegrijpelijk
