Voorstellen en wijzigingen bewerken
Eve, bedankt voor je reactie. Ik hoop dat dit je bereikt, want ik ben hier vrij nieuw en ben nooit erg geneigd geweest om wat dan ook dat met informatica te maken heeft, grondig uit te pluizen. Je hebt enkele wijzigingen aangebracht in het artikel over Ismenos. Alleen is die informatie voor zover ik weet verkeerd (Merope i.p.v. Metope, Pelasgos i.p.v. Pelagos - spijtig dat dit niet zou kloppen, inderdaad :) ). Hieronder heb ik enkele bronnen geplaatst.

The Asopus river was a son of Ocean and Tethys, or, as Acusilaus says, of Pero and Poseidon, or, according to some, of Zeus and Eurynome. Him Metope, herself a daughter of the river Ladon, married and bore two sons, Ismenus and Pelagon, and twenty daughters, of whom one, Aegina, was carried off by Zeus.3

72 We shall now recount the story of the daughters of Asopus and of the sons who were born to Aeacus. According to the myths there were born to Oceanus and Tethys a number of children who gave their names to rivers, and among their number were Peneius and Asopus. Now Peneius made his home in what is now Thessaly and called after himself the river which bears his name; but Asopus made his home in Phlius, where he married Metopê, the daughter of Ladon, to whom were born two sons, Pelagus and Ismenus, and twelve daughters, Corcyra and Salamis, also Aegina, Peirenê, and Cleonê, then Thebê, Tanagra, Thespeia, and Asopis, also Sinopê, and finally Ornia and Chalcis.
Ik moet wel zeggen dat ik in een andere vertaling (zie http://books.google.be/books?id=NCsUAAAAYAAJ&pg=PA283&dq=diodorus+ismenus) toch Pelasgos zag staan, en i.p.v. Metope is er hier sprake van Medon. Dit boek dateert echter van het jaar 1814, en ook al gaat het maar om een vertaling, het blijft minder betrouwbaar. Dat geldt natuurlijk ook voor internetpagina's, dus als je een betrouwbaarder bron hebt, verander het dan gerust weer in de vorige namen!
