"Taurobolium" correct?
bewerkenSorry, I don't speak Dutch. Are you sure that the term "Taurobolium", in Dutch, means the same as the term "Mithraeum"? In German and other languages, the two words mean very different things. "Mithraeum" is the temple whereas "Taurobolium" refers to the ritual act which is described in the Dutch article Taurobolia. Both sources seem lacking.
bewerkenSource (1) - Human Truth Foundation is far from a reliable source.
Source (2) - Can't check the original myself but the Criobolium is not part of Mithraeum but of the cult of Attis. Also the English (well sourced wiki) makes neither of these two claims about sacrifice or blood-baptism. Oatmale (overleg) 22 jul 2024 22:14 (CEST)
