SixStringSurfer - Singer/guitarist/songwriter

Vincent (Vinnie) Smeets aka SixStringSurfer is a musician/singer/songwriter from Maastricht, The Netherlands. He was born on 29 April 1960 in Weert, The Netherlands. His main instrument is the guitar. As a child he learned to play the electronic organ. Later, when he turned 19 years old, he bought his first electric guitar and amp and started learning to play guitar. He took guitar lessons in Eindhoven, Maastricht and Den Haag. He wanted to become a good guitar player and songwriter. That's why he also studied music theory, harmony and composing. His main influences are: Led Zeppelin, Slade, Black Sabbath, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Jan Akkerman, Wes Montgomery, Jeff Beck, Motown. He played in several bands. The first self-written song he launched was "Mercedes-Benz - Das Lied" (written in 2005). After this he launched more singles, varying from heavy rock to instrumental rock, blues, pop, country/rock, reggae etc.

Vincent founded two music projects:

- SixStringSurfer: original songs, style: rock, pop, blues with English and Dutch lyrics, also instrumental songs.

- WULF83 (by SixStringSurfer): original songs, style: rock, pop, blues with German lyrics, also instrumental songs.

In 2014 Vincent also founded his own record label: LANDSLIDE Records. His music is on many social media: on Spotify, Deezer, Google Play Music, amazon.com etc.
