In 1985 werd de zevende editie van de Amílcar Cabral Cup gespeeld. Het toernooi werd gespeeld in Banjul, Gambia. Op dit toernooi won het elftal van Senegal door in de finale het thuisland Gambia te verslaan. Senegal won met 1–0 in de finale. Mali werd derde door van Kaapverdië te winnen met 2–0.
