During this period the artist became famous in his country for art works that showcased the wonderful carnival floats and parades. He collaborated on a major project about the Rio Carnival with the popular singer [[Daniela Mercury]]. From the beginning, their collaboration was based on mutual respect and understanding and turned into a great success story.
Throughout his career, Roberto Barr has been involved in helping young people in difficulty by teaching them papier-mâché techniques. This training offers young people a playful way to escape poverty.
