Via email heb ik de volgende antwoorden gekregen op mijn vraag hoe het precies zit met de precrash systemen van Volvo en de benamingen:

First generation: Collision warning with brake support (warning and pre charing of brakes). Introduced 2006

Second generation: Collision warning with full autobrake (for other vehicles). Introduced 2007

Third generation: Collision warning with full autobrake and pedestrian detection (in communication we sometimes use Pedestrian detection with full autobrake). Introduced 2010.

City safety is a "stand alone" system, introduced in 2008 and is now standard on all cars but XC90. A lidar sensor is used, correct.
