Het Zuid-Amerikaans kampioenschap voetbal onder 19 van 1971 was de 5e editie van het Zuid-Amerikaans kampioenschap voetbal onder 20, een CONMEBOL-toernooi voor nationale ploegen van spelers onder de 19 jaar. Negen landen namen deel aan dit toernooi dat van 1 tot en met 25 maart in Paraguay werd gespeeld. Alle wedstrijden vonden plaats in de hoofdstad Asunción. Paraguay werd voor de eerste keer winnaar.[2]
