The white spot

Hi Multichill,

thanks for your message. I would like to see indeed Luxembourg to be part of the bigger project. As you certainly have seen, we have set up the lists for the different municipalities as good as the official list allows (the list itself lacks often a lot of information). Most of them are in the standard format (except for those at the beginning and at the end of the alphabet because they were written before the standard format was established). So the 'frame' is there. And every once in a while, someone adds a picture here and there.

However, as was pointed out, we have no 'chapter' that would be able to talk 'for' Wikipedia to the outside world, nor manpower to write to/make contact with media/autorities to have a 'partner' to advertise the project, or to sponsor prizes, etc. There is only a handful of us who keep lb:wiki up and running.

So realistically,how I see it, 'participation' of Luxembourg would have to be through another 'platform', which then would link to the pages we have created. It would have to be investigated how this could work in practice.

With your knowledge about other participating projects, what would you see could be realistically be done to enable any dutch tourist visiting the luxembourgish Ardennes this Summer, or Belgian businessman touring the outskirts of the capital on a week-end, to deposit his/her pictures so to be included in the monument lists?

If you have some ideas, could you post them on De Staminee, so that more people could participate in the discussion?

Hi Zinneke, having a chapter is a big plus, but you can do without. We have several countries without a chapter involved (this might be the project to help to get a chapter started). The project is targeted at locals. So in all the participating countries people can just take photographs near their home. The same would of course be nice in Luxembourg. Redirect in navigatiesjablonen

Hoi Multichill, ik stelde deze vraag eerder aan Romaine en die dacht dat jij dat een keer met een bot had opgelost. Als ik in een navigatiesjabloon een redirect zie (bij mij zijn die oranje gekleurd), bijvoorbeeld in Sjabloon:Navigatie voetbal Zwitserland Super League het 2e en 6e item, corrigeer ik het meestal altijd. Maar is het ook mogelijk dat dergelijke redirect in navigatiesjablonen automatisch worden gedetecteerd en gecorrigeerd? Ik kom ze de laatste tijd steeds meer en meer tegen. Ja, het is mogelijk, maar het "repareren" van doorverwijzingen werd in het verleden altijd als ongewenst beschouwd. Multichill (overleg) 25 jun 2011 17:47 (CEST)

Volgens mij is er de uitzondering voor navigatiesjablonen. Zie ook Wikipedia:Redirect#Link_naar_redirect_.28wel.2Fniet.29_repareren, laatste alinea. Die pas ik dan ook consequent aan, maar ik kom het meer en meer tegen waardoor ik de neiging krijg om het dan maar zo te laten. En dat terwijl het vast eenvoudig automatisch gecorrigeerd kan worden.
