Terugdraaien bijdrage geachte collega Adri bewerken
- "Artikel 11: Repatriëring en schadevergoeding van de vluchtelingen" - hoofdthema is de terugkeer, de rest is minder van belang.
- "door de betrokken partijen Jordanië en Israël nooit nageleefd" - Niemand leefde hem ooit na en de Arabische landen stemden er zelfs tegen dus waarom ze hem uitgevoerd willen zien is mij een raadsel maar mijn mening niet van belang.
- "De Verenigde Naties verbond aan de toetreding van Israël de voorwaarde dat het zou instemmen met de bepalingen uit resolutie 194" - klinklare onzin, dit is nimmer eraan verbonden. Tekst resolutie luidt: "Recalling its resolutions of 29 November 1947 and 11 December 1948 and taking note of the declarations and explanations made by the representative of the Government of Israel before the Ad Hoc Political Committee in respect of the implementation of the said resolutions"
- "Eenmaal toegelaten herriep Israël een dag later de gedane toezeggingen" - behalve bronloos ook nog eens niet van belang want het een had niet met het ander te maken dus hoort het hier sowieso niet thuis.
- "Tegenstanders van repatriëring benadrukken dat het artikel alleen betrekking heeft op die vluchtelingen die in vrede met hun buren willen leven" - tja, de resolutie zegt toch duidelijk "refugees wishing to return to their homes and live at peace with their neighbours" weinig interpretatie mogelijk lijkt mij.
Helaas Adri, maar met deze bijdrage is zo veel mis, alleen een terugdraai actie kon het artikel nog redden. Probeer je het nog eens iets meer neutraal of laten we het zoals het is?--Palliser 7 jun 2008 01:09 (CEST)
Artikel 11 gaat over Repatriëring én schadevergoeding. Waarom dat tweede weglaten?
De bepalingen in resolutie 194 hadden betrekking op het grondgebied van Palestina, en was daarmee eerst en vooral van toepassing op de zionistische entiteit die het vluchtelingenprobleem had veroorzaakt. In mindere mate op Jordanië dat de tempelberg beheerste.
Israel joins the United Nations
On 11 May 1949, one day before the signing of the Lausanne protocols, Israel was admitted to United Nations membership. In a statement to the Political Committee, the Israeli representative declared that his country would observe the principles of the United Nations Charter, and would implement its resolutions. Israel was the only State to have achieved statehood and received territory also through an act of the United Nations. The preamble of the resolution admitting Israel to United Nations membership specifically referred to Israel's undertakings to implement General Assembly resolutions 181 (II) and 194 (III), the two resolutions that formed the centre of the Palestine issue in the United Nations:
"Having received the report of the Security Council on the application of Israel for membership in the United Nations,
"Noting that in the judgement of the Security Council, Israel is a peace-loving State and is able and willing to carry out the obligations contained in the Charter,
"Noting that the Security Council has recommended to the General Assembly that it admit Israel to membership in the United Nations,
"Noting furthermore the declaration by the State of Israel that it 'unreservedly accepts the obligations of the United Nations Charter and undertakes to honour them from the day when it becomes a Member of the United Nations',
"Recalling its resolutions of 29 November 1947 and 11 December 1948 and taking note of the declarations and explanations made by the representative of the Government of Israel before the ad hoc Political Committee in respect of the implementation of the said resolutions, ...
- Er staat niet "Israel shall be admitted on the condition....." er staat "refereerde aan..." Probeer het Engels te vertalen in het Nederlands met een vertaalprogrammaatje als je die taal niet volledig machtig bent. Als Israel niet aan "voorwaarden" had voldaan, per welke datum werd de toetreding ongedaan gemaakt? Heb je daar wat gegevens over?--Palliser 9 jun 2008 14:51 (CEST)

Vriend, Het staat welliswaar niet helemaal in Jip en Janneke-taal maar het betekent hetzelfde. Er staat dus:

- Dat VN document heb je dus niet in andere woorden, dus herstel. Kijk, dit is nou wat ze bedoelen met eigen onderzoek. Je neemt een tekst en verbindt er je eigen conclusies aan. Helaas voor jou is dat verboden op Wikipedia volgens de richtlijnen. Je hebt niet veel succes met je edits geloof ik. Mischien moest je je manier van doen hier eens onder de loup nemen want anders dreigt Wikipedia een kenner te verliezen die potentieel goede bijdragen kan leveren. Begrijp je het verschil nu tussen "A zegt dit te doen en B zegt dat A dat kan doen" tegenover "B zegt dat A alleen als hij dit doet dat kan doen"? --Palliser 10 jun 2008 15:42 (CEST)
Vriend, Deze interpretatie van de VN-tekst is louter jouw persoonlijke mening. Ik zal uit het boek "Problems of Protection: The UNHCR, Refugees, and Human Rights" van Niklaus Steiner, Gil Loescher en Mark Gibney citeren:
UN General assembly Resolution 194 (III)
As was the case with the League of Nations in it's incorporation of the Balfour Declaration into the articles of the British mandate, the United Nations, upon its establishment, also became embroiled in the conflict. This occured when it proposed to partition Palestine in November 1947 (UNGA Resolution 181), and again, when the UN admitted as a member state on 11 May 1949, in UNGA Resolution 273. The condition for the acceptance of Israel at the UN was that it "unreservedly accepts the obligations of the United Nations Charter and undertakes to honour them from the day when it becomes a member of the UN." However, since its establishment, Israel's official position has been noncompliance with the right of return as reaffermed in UN Resolution 194 (III), and the international community has taken no steps to enforce compliance.
