Bernard "Benno" Wissing, 84, of Bristol, died peacefully at his home Monday, Jan. 7, 2008, surrounded by family and friends. He was born on May 26, 1923 in Renkum, the Netherlands, and was the husband of Janke Jantina Wissing-Been.

Benno wished a simple and quiet ending to his life and requested that there be no formal ceremony.
