Rob (ertus) G.L.M. Hammink (1961, Wisch ‘Keizershut') is a Dutch journalist and writer, “Hamminkway" is his pseudonym, in admiration for his role model Ernest Hemingway https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernest_Hemingway.

During his 30-year career as a senior reporter for `De Telegraaf’ the leading Dutch newspaper https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_Telegraaf, he has published 4 novels: WaanZin (Lunacy), VerVal (Decay), Jodoh (Soulmate) and Made in China https://uitgeverijaspekt.nl/over-ons/. Rob Hammink earned a reputation for his extraordinary stories reporting from around the globe, having met many famous personalities and world leaders.

In the deepest jungles of South America, across remote African desserts and the vastness of Siberia, he drew on his ingenuity to bring his stories to life in text, photos and videos. In 1981 at the age of 19 years and while getting his education at the School of Reserve Officers Jan van Schaffelaer https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jan_van_Schaffelaerkazerne he started flying.

Following his father’s footsteps, he spent significant amount of time in Asia, especially in Indonesia, being an ex-colony of The Kingdom of Netherlands. Driven by his interest of Asia, he actively promotes the connections and cultures as a public speaker.
