Mike Hull (born Januari 12, 1963 as Marcel Hölscher in Oude Wetering, The Netherlands) is a Dutch singer-songwriter and musician. His debut album, Tomorrow, came out in december 2012. All his earnings in 2013 from that album, went to War Child.


Personal life Marcel Hölscher, the son of his mother; Petronella Alkemade, who was an pianist and singer and his father: Wilhelm Hölscher who played accordion, harmonica and organ, spent portions of his youth in the provinces; South Holland, North Brabant and Limbourgh in The Netherlands. At age 3 he listned to records from his two older brothers; Wil and Floris who liked Beatles, Dave Berry, Rolling Stones and more. At age 6, Hölscher began to play the guitar. As a teenager he began to write songs. He was inspired by The Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Stealers Wheel and many others. In 1996 he married his wife; Christine Theunissen and moved to Belgium in 2000. In 2002 their son; Kellen was born. Albums In 2012, Mike recorded, in his home studio, his first album; Tomorrow. He played all instruments by himself He mixed it and mastered it at home. He decided to give all his earnings to War Child. The album contains 13 blues, folk and country songs about war and peace. In 2013 his second album came out; Mike's 50's Blues.


Musical collaborations In 1979 Mike started his first band; Royal Flush. They played his songs but in 1981 he was asked by The Barrators, which was a rock and roll band, to come and play with them. In 1986 he moved to another part of the country and left this band. Later on he played in Chic, Bam Bam, Pound cake and Capital Sin. On the way he earned the nickname Mike Hull. He kept on using it ever since In 2008 Mike decided to go further on his own, as a one man band.

He plays his own songs interspersed with covers, sometimes acoustic and sometimes using backing tracks.
