NICOLE BEUTLER
Nicole Beutler (München, 1969) studeerde Beeldende Kunst aan de kunstacademies van Münster en München waarna zij aan de School voor Nieuwe Dansontwikkeling van de Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten (AHK) in Amsterdam verder studeerde. In 2009 richtte zij het gezelschap Nicole Beutler Projects op, ondergebracht in de Stichting NB. Sindsdien werkt zij als choreografe en theatermaker. Naast voorstellingen creëert Nicole Beutler ook performanceprojecten, kunst installaties, festivals en summer academies. Haar werk is genre-overschrijdend en zij maakt theater als Gesamtkunstwerk: vorm en inhoud van elk element - beweging, woord, ruimte, licht, geluid, kostuums - zijn zorgvuldig afgewogen in relatie tot elkaar en tot de toeschouwer, waarbij zij de grenzen op rekt van wat dans is.
