At the suggestion of the late Lord I.eighton hestudied art, receiving his art education in London, .-\ntwerp,Paris, and Ilorence. He was elected R.H..-\. in iNcjs Heh.is exhibited at many important galleries and exhibitions,including the Royal .-Vcademy, Grosvenor, and New(l.illcries, and at lirussels, Dusseldorf, etc. He has beenengaged much in portrait painting, etc., but he specialisesin religious subjects of semi-prc-Raphaelite character.He has prepared many designs for stained glass windows,sculpture and mosaics for ninnerous churches in Londonand the provinces ; also many large mural paintings andaltarpieces.
