A closer image and without the soldier:

  • An A4 propulsion unit shown on dolly inside the underground assembly facility at Niedersachswerfen near Nordhausen, Germany.[3]
  • the A-4 rocket's combustion chamber. This photo was taken at the Central Works factory at Nordhausen, which was built underneath the Harz Mountains.[4]
