Magyar: Somogyszob címere,
Somogyszob község címere jobb haránt ezüstpólyával osztott, csücskös talpú pajzs.
Első vörös mezejében lebegtetett helyzetű, ékkövekkel díszített, leveles aranykoronába tűzött háromlevelű ezüst tölgyfaág látható. A pajzs második fekete mezejében kéregöntésű ezüst vasúti kerék szerepel,

az ezüstpólyában mindkét végén egy-egy lóherevégű vörös kereszt, középen nyolcágú vörös csillag.

Somogyszob a középkorban királynéi birtok volt, erdeiben királyi vadászatokat tartottak. A hagyomány szerint megpihent itt IV. Béla, mikor a tatárok elől menekült. A címerben lévő korona ezekre emlékeztet, míg a koronába tűzött háromlevelű ezüst tölgyfaág a település korábbi pecsétjeire. Tölgyfa és tölgyfaág több pecséten is szerepelt, így átvétele utal egyrészt a települést körülvevő erdőkre, másrészt kifejezi a történeti múlt továbbépítésére mutatkozó igényt is. A vasúti kerék a község vasúti csomópont-jellegére utal. Somogyszobon három egyház temploma található. A két lóherevégű kereszt a katolikus és az evangélikus, a nyolcágú csillag a református lakosságot jelképezi.

Official coat of arms and flags, being defined in such a regulation, are thus in the public domain in Hungary, and also in the US, according to § 313.6(C)(2) Compendium of U.S. Copyright Office Practices, 3rd ed. 2014 (Compendium (Third)): "As a matter of longstanding public policy, the U.S. Copyright Office will not register a government edict that has been issued by any state, local, or territorial government, including legislative enactments, judicial decisions, administrative rulings, public ordinances, or similar types of official legal materials. Likewise, the Office will not register a government edict issued by any foreign government or any translation prepared by a government employee acting within the course of his or her official duties."
