Sjabloon:Gebruiker nl-4 bewerken

I've reverted this template to the blue-greenish version, because all the other templates with a number 4 in it are that blue-greenish color. It looks like both you, and Gebruiker:Servien are busy with the Wikipedia:Babel-templates. Because she speeks Dutch, I suggest you contact here at her contact page, to avoid further misunderstandings, and miscommunications. With regards, --Tuvic 17 nov 2005 20:29 (CET)Reageren

Ok, It seems to be better to explain the reasons of my system of templates /changes in the Babel-system

1. The babel template system (BTS) comes from the german and other wikipedia and works well there.

2. Here, the BTS is still under construction. I'm waiting to clear up, if it will be accepted in NL. only a few templates (nl) are made to show you, how it works.

3. The most important advantages of the BTS are:

  • All babelboxes (BB) of all knowledgelevels (KL) (e.g. nl-0, de-3, en) have the same fonts and measures.
  • All babelboxes of a specified knowledgelevel (nl-3, de-3, en-3 etc.) have the same colors.
  • Changes at the BB can be made easyly at the central template.

4. How the BTS is built up:

Level in the BTS Defined Object Names of the Templates Information
User-level babelbox-container "Sjabloon:Babel-Z" Z is the number of babelboxes to add. The same like before.
2nd level Babelboxes "Sjabloon:Gebruiker_xx-n" (learned)
"Sjabloon:Gebruiker_xx" (native)
xx is the language-code and "n" is the knowledgelevel
In this templates is the text of the BB defined.
3rd level knowlegelevel properties "Sjabloon:Babel_field_n" "n" is the knowledgelevel. In this templates the definitions which belong to a whole knowledgelevel (e.g. colors) are made. this forces the same color for a knowledgelevel in each language.
4th level layout properties "Sjabloon:Babel_field" This template is used from all babelboxes. Fonts, the measurement of the boxes and the name of variables are defined here. This ensures the same appearance (eccept the colors) of all babelboxes. the color in this template is overwritten in the 3rd level.

I hope that the Users of the dutch Wikipedia like to use this system. Its a little bit difficult to understand, but easy to use and , very important (!), easy to expand.

How it works, you can look at the german WP:

This system is running in several Wikipedias around the globe. Why not allso in the dutch one ? --Bavaria77 18 nov 2005 00:29 (CET)Reageren

Babel-Vorlagen... bewerken

The babel template system (BTS) allows for each knowledgelevel an individual color. It makes sure, that in all languages the same knowledgelevel has the same color, because the colors are defined an only one central place for each level of knowledge:
A big plus (one of several) for the BTS is, that, if once a day a majority wants to change a color, you only need to modify one template and not a lot of templates (one for each language). It is possible, to keep the same colors, the same font, the same measures like before. The advantage is, to make changes and expandings (!) easier and to prevent asynchrone changes between different languages.
We have a different system on the Dutch wiki, we don't use all of the colours only purple and green (and recently blue) no one liked the yellow colour and has been changed to blue, also: the Dutch wiki doesn't use "xx-0" templates, this is only used for Dutch! To be honest you have messed up the Babel templates, some even see your edits as vandalism, please stop trying to change the system here, it works fine for us. Even if you would to change the system it would have to be voted on, and succession for your system is very minimal, since your edits have caused some problems already! E.g. 1) you changed the templates for some categories, linguistically and systematically they're incorrect, if you don't speak Dutch this is a problem. 2) on the babel templates there have been huge line spaces after the German template because of your changes to the German babel templates. usw.
