The losses in the battle were highly asymmetrical. All contemporary sources agree that English casualties were very low.{{sfn|DeVries|1998|p=174}}{{sfn|Prestwich|1996|p=331}}{{sfn|Sumption|1990|p=530}} Only three give specific figures for the English men-at-arms killed: 3; 30; and 300.{{sfn|DeVries|1998|p=174, n. 102}} No contemporary source estimates how many non-notable English were killed.{{sfn|DeVries|1998|p=174, n. 102}} While some modern scholars consider the English casualty figures given to be improbably low, Rogers argues that they are consistent with reports of casualties on the winning side in other medieval battles. To date, only two Englishmen killed at the battle have been identified: the squire Robert Brente and the newly anointed knight Aymer Rokesley.{{sfn|Rogers|2007|p=215}} Two English knights were also taken prisoner, although it is unclear at what stage in the battle this happened.{{sfn|Ayton|2007c|p=191}}
