And usually it's a nationality problem for when someone who was born in a country different to where they are "from" i.e. where they grew up or what passport they have. And, of course, when it comes to sportspeople on the English Wikipedia, if they have then represented yet another country. Just to clear up my doubt, is the difference between Frans/Franse just about gender? I only ask because I never actually had a Dutch lesson at school, but rather learned it "op de straten" in a short time, which is why I have no idea when it comes to correct grammar. ::::::No, it has nothing to do with gender. Neither does the conflict, as mentioned, refer to the possibility that a person may have been born in another country than their current nationality. The difference between writing Frans or Franse is a regional matter; just the local way of speaking and writing things. One half of the Dutch/Flamish Wikipedians are in favour of writing the -e, the other half are against it.
