UCI Continentale circuits: verschil tussen versies

== Continentale ploegen ==

Er zijn twee soorten continentale ploegen: [[Continentale circuits#Continentale circuits#Continentale ploegen|Professionele continentale ploeg]]en (''Professional Continental Teams'', soms afgekort tot ''PCT'') en [[Continentale circuits#Continentale circuits#Continentale ploegen|continentale ploeg]]en (''Continental Teams''). Er zijn in totaal ongeveer 25 à 30 Professional Continental Teams, in de UCI Africa Tour en de UCI Asia Tour komen géén professionele continentale ploegen uit. Het merendeel bestaat dan ook uit continentale ploegen. Ploegen die deelnemen aan de [[UCI ProTour]] kunnen wel deelnemen, maar geen punten behalen in continentale wedstrijden.

 

ProContinental ploegen komen in tegenstelling tot gewone Continental ploegen in aanmerking voor een wildcard van koersen uit de [[UCI World Tour]], zoals de [[Ronde van Frankrijk]] of de [[Amstel Gold Race]].
