Beschrijving

"Fig. 37 zeigt die venezianische Dogenmütze, die zwar mit dem letzten Dogen von Venedig, Ludovico Manin, 12. Mai 1797, aus der Geschichte verschwand, von einigen Adelsfamilien (Giustiniani, Manin, Sagredo, Vendrami u. a.) aber in ihren Wappen weiter geführt wird. Sie besitzt die Form einer Fischermütze, mit einem reich mit Edelsteinen und Perlen geschmückten Stirnreif, der mitunter gleich einer Laubkrone gebildet ist."
