English: Royal Air Force Bomber Command, 1939-1941.
Vertical aerial photograph taken during a daylight attack by aircraft of No.s 3, 4 and 5 Groups on German warships docked at Brest, France. Bombs can be seen exploding in and around the two dry docks in which the battlecruisers SCHARNHORST and GNEISENAU are berthed. At the bottom, bombs intended for the heavy cruiser PRINZ EUGEN, moored at the quayside, are beginning to creep inland.

Voor gebruik, zie Commons:When to use the PD-scan tag.
Zie Commons:When to use the PD-Art tag.
